I noticed that after the first page of the score the Percussion 2 becomes Percussion 3, which gives me two of them, although the parts are different. I have not yet found the solution and might be overlooking something simple. Any thoughts?

Ha! I was just talking to a friend who got me into Dorico and he offered the same advice. I think I was just moving too fast relabeling percussion parts and entered the wrong abbreviated name. Thanks so much for your quick response.
