In Dorico 4:
In a score with two percussion players I need the staves named “Percussion 1” and “Percussion 2”. Adding more instruments to a player, Dorico is using the name of the first instrument in the list as the staff name. I can’t find a way to use player name as a staff label.
Thanks, but this doesn’t work. If I check these, the two percussion staves show their complete instrument lists, instead of only the first instrument used.
In Setup mode, change the Player Names to Percussion 1 and Percussion 2.

If you’re using the grid presentation type, then at present you can’t use the player name instead of the standard instrument names – but this is something that will be addressed in the next update when it arrives.
