Staff label question for two bass drums

I’m notating a piece that uses two bass drums, one typical size and one smaller. What should I do with the staff labels?

If you use a high and low tom-tom, Dorico labels them Tom-tom 1 and Tom-tom 2.

Hi @Dissonancely, if you are using the instruments in a kit, you can rename them as desired:

This will be reflected in the Percussion Legends (switch to short names in the properties panel), and will also be shown in note input mode:

Alternatively you can create duplicate of an instrument (from menu Library>Instruments), renaming it as desired (for example specifying the inches, or cm of the diameter of the instrument, or whatever), then load the desired instruments in your setup, from the instrument picker.
