Staff labels changed from one page to the other

Does anyone have an idea of why the staff labels changed from one page to the other?

Those bars have no bonding changes or anything else happening…just music

Hi @mikeheels, probably Dorico is applying the automatic number stacking, as defined in Engraving Options>Staff Labels>Numbering:

Those are global settings witch define how you want Dorico to handle the numbers, and the result is based on the music and therefore the particular condensing happening, which can vary between systems.

Here three examples with different Engraving Options:

Dorico file example:
condensing - staff labels number stacking.dorico (1.8 MB)

(For condensing issues is generally always better to upload a Dorico file; also a cut-down version which still presents the issue will do).
