Staff labels, transposition indication different in first system

On the first system (full instrument names) I would like to write the instrument name e.g. as Clarinet in Bb.

From the second system on (abbreviated names) I would like to show the transposition indication in a second line in parantheses.

The option in Layout Options > Staves and systems > Staff labels doesn’t allow different formats for the transposition indication in first and subsequent staves; so I thought I would turn off “Show in full staff labels” plus editing the instrument name itself to match the desired format, but once I turn off “Show in full staff labels” the transposition indication disappears also from the subsequent staves although “Show in abbreviated staff labels” is on.

Instrument name is set to “Follow layout options”.

What am I missing?

You could add a [return] to the abbreviated name?

Or write in the transposition, and turn it off in the Options.

Yes, I could do that also this way around.

Do I understand you correctly that you can reproduce that the mentioned option does not work in Dorico?

You are right that there is some kind of bug affecting showing the transpositions in Abbreviated labels, depending on the setting for Full labels.
