Hi,
I have a Piano-Vocal score with character names for the four vocal staves, but they’re not showing up correctly. Each character is a “Player” (is that correct to do?) and they are named how I want them, and in Layout > Staves and Systems, I have indicated for the Full and Abbreviated labels to show… Yet in the P/V, only one staff is labeled, and it says “Voc.”, which is not what I want.
What am I missing?

This maybe could help you: in Layout Options>Staves and Systems>Staff Labels, you can chose, for each layout, if you prefer the instrument or the player to be displayed in the labels.
Just to make sure, did you check that the Piano/Vocal layout was selected in the right-hand column of this dialog?
Could you upload the file so we can see the settings?
(you could make a copy and remove all the notes)
It seems that your upload is not working…
It says it’ too big… But it’s only one page with just a piano and three vocal staves… So it shouldn’t be that big. It says 6.9 MB? And the limit is 4MB to upload? What am I doing wrong?
Maybe try to turn off this button, it maybe reduces the size (I am not sure though)
(But it anyway shouldn’t be 6+MB for such a short and light score, I think…)
Yeah, that’s a creative solution but it didn’t work. Gah. It’s only five measures long!
Maybe try at least a full screenshot of Layout Options > Staves and Systems > Staff Labels, including the Layouts right-hand column?
(before someone helps you share the Dorico file at a reasonable size — I’m afraid I can’t help you with that.)
Try applying the Silence playback template, and then saving as a copy.

One thing that seems unusual is that your layout is a part layout. If I add a full score layout, then the names seem to display as intended.
