Hello everyone,

Season’s greetings from Greece — wishing you health and all the best!

I’m trying to locate the DefaultLibraryAdditions folder for Dorico, but I can’t seem to find it.

I have already checked the following locations on my system:

  • Library → Application Support → Steinberg → Dorico 6

  • Library → Application Support → Steinberg → Dorico 5

However, I don’t see a DefaultLibraryAdditions folder in either place.

Additionally, I don’t see any .doricolib files there either.

Could someone please clarify:

  1. Where exactly should the DefaultLibraryAdditions folder be located?

  2. Is it created automatically, or do I need to create it manually?

  3. Where should .doricolib files normally reside in Dorico 6?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Hi, I just want to say that I post these things so they end up on Dorico’s feature request list. There are a million reasons contemporary composers need the option to hide all staff lines for all or just selected bars, as well as the ability to switch the number of staff lines within the same system, just like we can change the clef. So, instead of becoming a computer hacker, I just wait for them to implement this feature, which, by the way, Finale already had implement in 2000.
