Is it true that staff spacing adjustments are still connected to the page instead of to the respective system?
I had to learn that the hard way after finishing an 430+ pages opera, when the publisher asked for a layout change which produced two pages more. Although all pages after the layout change keep the same layout, the manual staff spacing got completely messed up. They haven’t been reset to default, but simply look totally different to before.
Is there the possibilty to keep the manual staff spacing adjustments when you have to partially change the layout of a score?
AFAIK Manual staff spacing and similar manual alterations still stay with the page rather than with the system.
In this situation, switch to engrave mode, and in the upper right zone (where one applies page template changes), select all the pages after the layout change, and right click, swap with next page (2 times). This should shift all the manual staff spacing back to the original pages.
