StaffPad (XML) -> Dorico - How to improve import quality?

My father-in-law was an IT project manager for a major airline. One of the programmers was apparently trying to find a bug in the code and set it up to write errors to a log file. Only problem was the bug was a loop.
It was left running and ended up crashing the company’s server either from bandwith usage or sheer size of the log file. I don’t remember which. I don’t think I’d have dared go back into the office if I’d done that

Note that the shortcut for moving to the next existing voice is just V, no Shift.

Shift-V creates a new voice and moves the selection to it.

Thank you! I discovered that last night while doing some work. I kept hitting shift+v waiting for it to cycle back around to the right colour and discovered I had just created like 12 new voices. facepalm

Hi All,

Another Q I can’t work out!

On import, often there are a heap of rests that aren’t displayed. Is there a way to make them show.

Also, when using ‘paste explode’ I ended up with this:

You can see only one voice ended up with the quaver rest, and I have no idea how to reset the rest properties so that the rest is visible in all staves without manually entering a rest.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

What are your MusicXML import settings for how Dorico should treat rests?

Whatever the defaults are

You mean like this?
