I have two songs in the same key and tempo that we’ve been playing live back-to-back. I’m trying to use the ‘Start next song’ action to do this in VST Live, but there seems to be a delay in starting the second song, which could cause our drummer to be out of tempo. Is there a way to make this action do the transition seamlessly? I want to avoid having to put both of the audio files into one song.
Hi! You can reduce, but currently can’t reduce to zero. App needs stop current song, load next one, ,buffer, start playing
At the momen, the only workaround is, to combine the two songs into one.
Thanks for letting me know! I’d love to see switching songs while staying on beat implemented.
Drum solo?
Or synth pad / morph… on a GBL LAYER?
Both a drum solo and using synths are of course possible, but they don’t solve the problem that there is a noticable change in the metronome’s beat when the next song is started. If I don’t want to resort to manually starting the next song, the only way I see right now to prevent this is @Falfango’s solution to combine both songs into one.
When I need to do so, I join the two songs into one song as well.
Until they find a way to load 2 songs at once you’re always going to have this limitation. Has been discussed before somewhere.
