Start one instrument’s playback early

Hi friends! I think Dorico can do this, but I don’t think I know the correct term to search. I’m composing an Art Song right now and am using Fluffy Audio’s “Simple Soprano” for the sound of the vocal line. The problem I’m having is that the soprano sample comes in slightly late compared to the piano. How can I begin the playback of the soprano early so it lines up rhythmically with the piano? Thanks for your help!

Hi @JamesIV this depend on what Expression Map you are using, and you can change the Delay in the Expression Map.
Here the simplest possible solution (make sure you select the Track Inspector of the desired track in Play mode) with one of the standard very easy Expression Maps that Dorico assigns to, for example, a new Kontakt instrument. Follow the numbers and change the Delay (the start Delay time of the sample) accordingly to your library (here I used -250ms for Jaeger Vocal Library)

Eventually you have to adjust the first note of each Phrase to begin on, or more near to, the beat (to compensate the first note delay), follow the numbers:
