Start voice and end voice

Hi—just wondering, is there a tutorial or at least a succinct explanation of the uses of “starts voice” and “ends voice”? Thanks!

Peter

They are reasonably self-explanatory.
If a note (or rest) has ends voice set, then no more rests will be shown for that voice until the next note in that voice. Starts voice removes the rests before the note.
If you use Edit>remove Rests that will set both the starts/end voice properties at either end of your selection.

To recover rests quickly - select everything, filter (select)> notes and chords and reset the properties (you may need to repeat using filter (select)>rests)

It’s worthwhile taking a few moments to experiment.
