I saw Greg Ondo quickly show that in the new 15.0.30 update to Cubase Pro you can now right click without having to keep the mouse pressed down and the pop up toolbar selector will stay static so you can easily choose which tool to use. It is not working for me since the update. Tried searching to see if there was any particular setting I needed to implement in order for this to work but nothing comes up that is different than going into Pref, choose tools, check box that says open up toolbox on right click. Tried that checked and unchecked and to no avail. Let me know if this is a bug , or is this not a feature, or if there is another setting that I should be implementing for this to work properly.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
The preferences is here: Preferences > Editing > Tools > Show Toolbox on Right-Click.
If this option is disabled, you can call the Toolbox by Ctrl + Right-Click.
Thanks Martin for your reply. I have executed that protocol, but when I right click on my mouse I have to keep the right click depressed in order to access a tool choice. The tool buttons are still not static for me. When I right click I have to use the ball and scroll to my tool button choice; or if I right click while holding down it down then left click that’s when it hangs and I can choose my tool button. Attached is the Pref menu and What the tool button loos like when I hold down the right click and then press the left click.
The toolbar will only stay open if you’re using a touchpad. If you’re using a mouse, it works as you’ve seen.
Thanks for your response. Where in the update does it say only works with touch pad…If this is the case thats not a good thing when the majority of users are using some variation of a mouse{ Mouse with track ball, regular mouse with left and right click option}. Can anyone confirm the toolbar will only stay open if you’re using a touchpad.
