Stationary cursor

Is there such a view as a stationary cursor? Cubase has such an option. It keeps the caret centered and the staff moves according to the notes being entered or the audio being played.

When entering notes in continuous view, the caret is always on the right edge of the screen. It would be great if the caret could be positioned centrally in the project window while entering notes. What do you think?

Please try to use Dorico’s native nomenclature when referring to things. It makes visualizing you problem less hard.

You mean “Galley View” ?

The caret is where I put it.

And when I add/changes a lot of notes it indeed travels to the right and stays there.

In most cases I think to the right of the caret there is no music, so the bars left of the caret are more interesting I think then the empty bars on the right.

Not in my case. I usually have music to the right of the caret, though not necessarily on the same staff. I have to keep scrolling forward to see what’s coming next.

I second that request. I’d love an option that when either the caret, or when not in note entry even more so the selection, reaches the right window edge, the screen scrolls so that the caret or the selection is now either in the center or even at the left edge.

Just like in the screenshots.
When entering notes in “Galley View” mode, the caret is at the right edge of the window (screenshot 1). It would be great if the caret was always centered, and the staff moved as you entered notes (screenshot 2).
