Hi folks,
as questions concerning the future of VST Live Mods (App) come up quite frequently, here’s a short update on what’s happening in this department.
VST Mods do rank quite highly on the devs’ priority list. But due to other pressing issues that needed urgent attention (including fast fixes on weekends) there is, as of yet, no official roadmap.
Having said that, please, rest assured that it’s absolutely undisputed that VST Mods are an essential part of VST Live and will therefore receive all the love they deserve.

Please don’t neglect the Live Mods app. Not every band member is able to put a 24 inch monitor in front of him 
The iPad solution for this is great!!!
In a other thread I have posted some feature requests

But here the requests in short form. Please consider this during development.
- every member should be able to select the lyrics track he want to see per song
(VST Live 3 support different tracks, but on the mods app you can’t choose. This feature is very helpful because not everyone needs the lyrics from the vocals. As example a drummer could write down notices about drum playing, etc. Or the iPad an be handed out to a light engineer to see instructions for the show lighting).
- formatting options would be nice in the lyrics window (as example… other instructions or notices could be written in different colors or bold)
- play/stop button to start the song would be nice for the drummer (so a footswitch is not needed) → but: the drummer should be the only person which could start the song → simple user-management with rights management would be nice
- visual metronome like a “frame” (see thread)
- individual zoom settings (actually the iPad App is not usable for some lyrics, because some lines are cutted off and the limits for the zoom range is not sufficient)
- midi buttons (see thread)
In the thread Michael commented some requests as good ideas
I know that´s hard to implement all requests. But please do the basic ones: zoom and multiple lyrics, play/stop button. This would be very very helpful for all bands here.

what if close&reopen iOS app? sometimes helps me (keep VL host running)
I managed to run a test on a Windows 11 PC.
Everything works perfectly.
I still have the bug on macOS.
I’m still experiencing the chord display bug.
I have a project with 16 songs, and the last three aren’t displaying.
However, the lyrics are displaying correctly.

Yesterday, we ran a real-world test with the full band.
We couldn’t get any display output at all.
What kind of router do you use when you’re on stage?
Does it have to be dedicated solely to VT Live?
My current setup uses a router for the Wing Rack.

My experience is:
VL should be connected to the wifi first. The open iOS clients after the project has been loaded.
I have two expensive routers.
- a mikrotik as primary
- a cudy as secondary
In my experience, there should be some tweakment in the host code, because works me more stable with recent (3.0.46-48) then before, BUT
I still need to admit, have “not connected / no song” problems sometimes, then other day it works flawlessly on hotel wifi…..
In such cases, restarting first the iOS app, if not helping, restarting VL

I have a lead regarding the display issue with the chord tracks.
On the old iPad, it shows version 1.5.3.169 at startup, but displays version 170.
I don’t have any bugs on that one.
On the new iPad, it is indeed version 170—
the same as on the iPhone.
And with those versions,
there are plenty of display bugs.
I just ran the test using the same equipment as yesterday,
and today there are no glitches.
It makes absolutely no sense.
As for Cubase and IC Pro:
I reinstalled Sky Remote and changed the password, and it’s working.
