Staves out of order in page view

On my current project I have one spot where I divide the string basses, and in page view the violin and viola staves show up on top of the basses, with a strange triangular carat marking the spot. Does any of you have any idea what would cause this?

If so, those are the Cycle locators, switch off in the View menu.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but violin and viola staves do go on top of basses. That is, above the basses on the page. That’s the normal order. From higher ranges to lower ones as you go down the page.

Or maybe that’s not what you mean?

Here is a screen shot of my situation. The galley view shows the string parts in the correct order, with the string basses at the bottom.

Hi @arabushka, you probably moved the staves manually (the little triangular object is the bracket that has been squished because of your manual moving of the staves).
To reestablish the correct positions, go in Engrave mode, and choose menu Engrave>Staff Spacing>Reset Layout.
