Steinberg Acid?

Don’t want to shell out a hundred fifty bucks for Roland’s TB 303 genuine article. Problem is the free plugins and things just don’t have that same acid magic though.

Arturia made a good one but again expense. Image Line’s Transistor Bass is good but exclusive to FL Studio.

I made the Retrologue 2 acid preset, following Steinberg’s tutorial. It’s not bad, but I need that genuine acid magic. The angled white stubby knobs, the filter and the crunch.

Anyone have any ideas for some sweet acid?

Have you tried midilab’s JC303?

Groovy :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: thanks.

That one is a maybe. Started a little groove with that retrologue 2 patch I made. Hmm not sure how to add an audio file here.

Here’s the patch tho:

AM Acid.vstpreset (5.2 KB)

I like Phoscyon by d16. Not free though.

If it’s small enough just drag it to the edit box. Same with images and short videos.

Drag and drop  It’s the simple things in life.
That’s retrologue 2. Sounds acid like. You can get that bark with the distortion too.

Not bad but I’m looking for that acid growl. For some reason only the acid plugins seem to have the acid charm.
