Steinberg already has a clip launcher and a pattern drum mode!

have a look:

nice pattern mode + drummer:

This easy-to-use daw was called “Sequel” and came from Steinberg. :bulb:
That was 12 years ago. Unfortunately, it was no longer developed further.

We see: the code is already programmed and is in the drawer.
How about building this into Cubase?

I´s clear that a arranger track can be seen in the first video - but with pads (“Scenes”!) in Lower Zone for triggering this Scenes. Could certainly be set up and expanded like the Clip Loungers in Ableton/Pro Tools/Digital Performer/Bitwig/Logic/ and soon S1 e.g.
Pattern mode plus this drummer thingy would be great to have this in Cubase lower zone too.
A lot of people would appreciate it in these modern beat-pattern-trigger- days, one might assume.
Opinions?

It seems like you can still get it:
Sequel: Free Music Making Software for Windows | Steinberg

Nothing against including it if it’s not breaking normal behaviour (being an option). I can’t see myself ever using it, though.

Regarding drum mode you have Beat designer…
I like the “pad/scenes” idea or something like the arranger track but handled by moving cycle markers easily…
