Hi @MarcoE
I created a new user so I could test CB 14 clean of any of my existing remotes. What was interesting was that the 4th custom page (added to your script by @davidbazomusic) is now functional. The Zoom control (horizontal & vertical) were no longer assigned to the EQ Gain knobs for bands 3 & 4, but rather the EQ toggle on/off buttons for bands 3 & 4. (I’m guessing this was a change that @davidbazomusic made.) Your v1.5 (Feb 2024), has the Zoom mapped to the EQ Gain band 3/4 knobs.
The issue of the “All Bypass” causing the zoom to continue to shrink every time I cycle through the function pages, is no longer an issue. Since I assume you designed the script to assign the Zoom functions to the continuous EQ gain knobs in bands 3 & 4, I’m puzzled. (This zoom function is one of the things that makes your script so badass, as it’s is a great addition to the cc121.) Having this mapped to 2 of the cc121 buttons isn’t as compelling, since it’s faster to just reach for the default “G/H” keys on the keyboard.
UPDATE: - Actually it seems like the strange continuous Zoom behavior persists, although there are times when it doesn’t behave this way. Sometimes when I alternate between the horizontal and vertical and then switch pages. I can’t quite figure it out.
I don’t think I mentioned this in my original post, but those Zoom functions are assigned to Control Room functions (reference level & talkback dim) Both of these functions are assigned to my Novation Launch Control, so I wonder if this conflict is part of the problem. When I start over and remove my Launch Control remote and then add the cc121 script, the Zoom functions map to the EQ 3/4 toggle keys, and the gain knobs map to QC 5/6. If I’m way off base and Zoom isn’t supposed to be mapped to the EQ gain knobs, then maybe I’ve found the resolution. (have to delete my Launch Control, then add cc121, then re-add Launch Control.) Obviously I’d be stoked if the Zoom functions ultimately can be controlled by 1 knob each, as it’s mimics some of the cool features of the Nektar CS12.
Anyway, if it isn’t in the cards, so be it, but figured I’d share what I’ve managed to uncover. I attached what the 2nd page looks like in M.R. Mapping Assistant.
Thx
Andy
