Steinberg created a new ID

I just updated my cubase, from 14 to 15. Purchased everything (my card was charged) didn’t receive any mail about the purchase nor a download code… it seems in my account like I don’t have the license.

I did get an email on another mail box (not related to my steinberg account)

Thank you for your recent purchase at "the Steinberg online shop. We have created a Steinberg ID for you, using the email address you supplied during the purchase. You need a Steinberg ID to activate your products, but if you already have a Steinberg ID with a different email address, you can safely ignore this email. If you do not already have a Steinberg ID, please set a password to complete the setup process

It seems like it created a new ID…

What do I do now ???

Hi and welcome to the forum @Shay_David1 !

It’s actually quite easy. All you need is the Download Access Code that you received via mail. It is not associated with any email adress or account. Just ignore the new Steinberg ID that has been created while purchasing the update.

Log into the Steinberg Download Assistent using your old and familiar account and email adress. Redeem the Download Access Code and you are good to go!

That’s the main problem

Please check the other email account again. You should get a separate mail with the DAC.

If you used Apple pay or PayPal or similar it might have pulled your email address over from there.

There might be a second email. Check junk and/or make sure you don’t a have Focused Inbox setting enabled - it could be hiding another email it “thinks” isn’t important

Hi Ben it seems I have found the DAC in the junk mail of the other email.

I copied it and managed to install cubase 15 pro.

All is good now
