Hi,
My Steinberg Download Assistant has starting giving me an error when I open the app:
“A connection to the download server could not be established”
This errro began after I started using an additional computer at a remote location for my Steinberg software (Using the same licenses).
I have tried disabling antivirus and firewall, rebooting e-licensor, rebooting PC. I have also updated the Steinberg Download Assistant and other apps like the Activation manager.
From what I understand I can use the software on two computers (the apps must not be open simultaneously). Is there a fix for this issue?
Unless your software is only available via the SDA use the website. Save yourself a lot of time and effort. I’ve never got it to work satisfactorily.
There are a heap of topics here regarding the SDA. Just do a search, you might get lucky.
Thanks Googly_Smythe . I would use the downloads page, but my product called Absolute 5 requires the SDA for many of the downloads, if not all of them. I am going to try and deactivate the license in the Activation manager on the second machine - maybe my primary machine license will then be seen as valid.
After deactivating the licenses on the second machine, the download manager on my main machine finally worked. The version is 1.37.4 . I am not sure if Steinberg resolved this, but if they did I am most grateful.
