Steinberg Download assistant issue

I don’t know where to post this issue

I use Steinberg Download Assistant for reinstalling Cubase Pro 10 and Halion 6. All good with Cubase itself, but when I try to download Halion 6 content, after changing the destination folder to some other drive than C and after clicking on the download button, Chrome browser opens up with almost 50 tabs in a single hit. I discovered that in fact, all the FCP_Smt …files that belongs to Halion’s content opened as a single task in Chrome and downloaded all the 30GB in C>users>me>download instead of the path indicated on the assistant.

My question is : why does Chrome opens itself when I use the Steinberg Assistant? and why it does NOT download the product where I tell it?

My system: Windows 10 Home, Cubase Pro 10, Halion 6

This also happens to me. I.e. Chrome opens when I hit the download button.

I changed the default download destination then I hit the download button and everything works there normally. No google chrome window opens and the file downloads to the chosen folder.
cubase pro 10.5.20 updated, ditto for OS / windows 10 pro and all other drivers
