Steinberg Download Assistant not responding

Hello everyone,
today I tried to update dorico using the SDA as usual. But today it just not responsive in anyway. The SDA icon bounces endlessly on the dock and then stops without showing anything. I right-click the icon to see the message “Application Not Responding”. Also restarted my mac but had the same result. I also tried to uninstall it, but even the unistaller does not respond. Any Ideas?

I have a MBP i7 2017 OSX 12.7.6

You may need to update the SDA itself, by downloading it directly from the Steinberg website > Support > Downloads.

There was some issue a while ago with expired certificates (the bane of modern security).

I find it worth just launching the SDA every month, and it will update itself, and alert you to any software updates of all Steinberg products. There are updates not only to the apps like Dorico and HALion, but also to underlying components, and even things like instruments for Groove Agent, etc.

sorry for the delay in responding I was away from the computer. I do open it every 20 days or so. So it’s always updated. Strange fact: it startet working again without any difficulties. But thanks anyway for the advice :slight_smile:
