Hello everyone,
I am having a serious problem with Dorico on Windows and would greatly appreciate any help.
I recently tried to update Dorico, but discovered that Steinberg Download Assistant was unable to connect to the internet. The message I receive is that it “cannot establish a connection.”
When I try to launch Dorico, it redirects me to Steinberg Activation Manager, which shows essentially the same error: it cannot connect to the internet. As a result, I cannot use Dorico at all.
So far I have tried the following without success:
-
Reinstalling the latest version of Steinberg Download Assistant.
-
Disabling all antivirus and firewall protection (both McAfee and Windows Defender).
-
Completely uninstalling all Steinberg applications and components, including HALion and the Steinberg ASIO Driver, before reinstalling.
-
Setting Microsoft Edge as my default browser and successfully logging into my Steinberg account through it.
My internet connection is otherwise working normally, and I can access my Steinberg account through a web browser without any issues.
This situation is becoming critical because I rely on Dorico for professional responsibilities and currently have no access to the software.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Daniel
