Steinberg Help redesign now live

We are very excited to announce the launch of our comprehensively redesigned Help portal, which represents a new era for user documentation and support.

First, a brief history of Steinberg documentation: at the end of 2016, we finished transferring to the DITA method of authoring, which enabled us to publish our manuals in both PDF and webhelp formats simultaneously on a new (at the time) steinberg.help website.

Over the past seven-and-a-bit years, we have continuously refined and improved the documentation portal. But because Steinberg products offer users an impressive array of powerful tools for music making, and that level of feature detail is reflected in our documentation, we felt that we could ascend even further heights of user support.

This substantial switch is what we are launching today!

Our updated documentation portal offers a vast swathe of benefits, including:

  • Manuals and support content consolidated into one place

  • Enhanced search capabilities

  • Search filters for products, versions, and languages – which you can dynamically switch between

  • Continuous scroll presentation format for the webhelp, with a table of contents that updates in real time to show your current place in the structure

We have even more features and improvements planned for the near future, so watch this space for further updates.

(There are, unfortunately, a few remaining issues with redirects that we are aware of, and expect to be resolved imminently. Steinberg IDs are also not connected to the new Help portal. Apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience during this initial phase of the switch!)

Please take a few minutes to visit the updated steinberg.help documentation portal and familiarize yourself with the new functionality.

If you have feedback that you would like to share with us, please feel free to do so here on the Steinberg forum.

We look forward to helping you via our new portal!
