Steinberg Library Does Not Detect Installed HALion instruments

Hey there.

I have just installed Dorico 4 Pro, HALion Sonic SE and the Steinberg Library in the last 48 hours.

I seem to have an issue where the Library is not detecting the HALion VST that has been installed. I have made sure that the VST files are in the correct folder, and that the Library’s default location is there, however it still does not detect the files. I cannot see any way to have the library re-scan the folder.

What’s more unusual is that it seems to have detected a file in a different folder. See below.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling both the Steinberg Library and the HALion VST files however this didn’t do anything.

I have a 2021 iMac. It operates on a M1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really just want to start making some music!!

I have made sure that the VST files are in the correct folder, and that the Library’s default location is there, however it still does not detect the files. I cannot see any way to have the library re-scan the folder.

Double click one of the vstsound files in that folder. It should open Library Manager and register the files. Alternatively drag and drop one of the files into Library Manager if its already open.
