Having a rollback option is a fairly basic reliability feature, so I would encourage you to add this to the backlog of features under consideration for future versions.
It’s one of those “pro” type features that people like me, who use Cubasis professionally, would gladly pay a premium for.
What about midi or audio overdub/replace functions. A midi drum pattern creator with note random (for ghost note ie), markers, multitake and comping, Aux masters and click track in mixer, a spill function for the bus, vcm fx, click subdivision and now that we have halion sonic play whats about expansions option for the future ?
Discussions about third-party apps used together with Cubasis are absolutely welcome.
However, please try to keep the focus on Cubasis and Steinberg mobile apps.
When a thread turns into a detailed discussion of another app’s features, limitations, or troubleshooting, it goes a bit beyond the scope of this forum.
Apologies for the bad info, and thank you to cubaser for the tip on aMazing. It indeed allowed me to roll back the update, since they were all in my Library history.
Been using Cubasis a lot since the update, and although this was not a major update, I gotta say it turned out to be a major update for me. MIDI editing has always been problematic. Not regarding its core functions and design, but the way zoom centering worked (and didn’t), a very unreliable editing of note lengths, and the lack of proper follow song behaviour. Those made it cumbersome and frustrating, but all that is fixed now and it works a treat; solid, smooth editing workflow with Apple Pencil 2 and mouse. Yay!
Hi Lars,
Great news concerning the saved Favourites on my one iPad Air 4, the Favourites list has automatically transferred to my 13” iPad M2 through iCloud
Mike
Yes, if you could please post the steps on how to revert to a previous Cubasis version, that would be awesome, because the very thing I feared happened: Cubasis 3.8.5 introduced an instability that is literally a show-stopper for us. So now I have to scramble and switch to a different solution so we can play the show, unless I can somehow roll back to 3.8.4 which was rock solid.
So far the only two change I have found is 1), longer loading times for projects, it seems to pause in the middle of loading, and 2), no IAA can be routed in a Audio track, this means I can no longer use TC-Data and Streetlytron Pro, the latter is used in my Kraftwerk cover projects.
Lars has sent these reports to his engineers.
