Steinberg News August 2013. C7 update?

Just read the news. There is no Cubase 7 update in August news.
Does this mean there will be no update in August? Will it be in September?
Do I have to pay for 7.5 to get bugs from 7 fixed?

Why is Steinberg not releasing monthly hotfixes? Some things just need a quick fix. Do we really have to wait months to get channel names back in mixer? I mean, it was fine before, then you screwed it up. Why don’t you fix just this asap?Simple hotfix would solve this quickly. Hotfix with just one fix is fine too you know, you need not wait to have 30+ fixes, and then release. One single fix is fine too. One by one is fine too. I’d update every time, and would be happy to have one bug less. Once a week would be fine too, one bug a week less is great. Especially such bugs with fonts, which are really a trivial mistake of programmers. It could be released immediately few days after issue is reported. All other companies function like this. Why is Steinberg not doing this?

could you please share the link that states Steinberg are not releasing any updates this month ?

Really? What, all of them?
August has a long way to go yet. Also, applying a rushed hotfix might just balls up someone else’s working system. Now, that would be a shame( ), particularly if that someone earns their living by way of Cubase.

Have patience, chill, think happy thoughts.

I agree!

In my previous life as an engineer in the aerospace industry program “hotfixes” were issued sometimes on a daily bases. These “hotfixes” were minor/simple in nature and were categorized as not needing QA review (but they did require a peer review as a 2nd set of eyes, and yes they were “fully support” by the company). Major releases that had to go thru QA testing and such were released on a less timely bases as necessary to complete that QA review process.

The result… was a happier end user (customer) and a much better product. For the company the initial higher cost of having this high level of support was more than offset through increased sales due to the delighted customers.

It was an email newsletter, I cannot post link. It is newsletter for Steinberg, for August 2013. No mention of C7. Text only copy/paste:

Maybe it is news for the previous month? Like, what happened up to now, not what will happen in August?
