You let us down, caused a lot of headaches . How about a freebie or a discount voucher on next product! Show us what a nice caring company you really are. 
Joking aside, if Steinberg wants to respect his old customers, he should lower update prices by at least 50% every time a paid update is released.
Certainly, if then, as I see in more comments, few complain and everyone is happy to pay these figures, Steinberg is obviously happy when he collects our pennies… 
Send them a proven invoice for loss of earnings , how have they let you down , have they withdrawn the product ( they have until the servers caught up ) are you or your clients out of pocket ?
