Steinberg should help with free old versions now

HI
Just wondering if anyone agrees with me, and if Steinberg people will read this?

Im using version 12, and I have some old ARR files from Atari days, that I would love to revisit. BUT… Its really not an easy process… and I believe that by now Steinbrg should be able to help out and make this a really easy process. Why not???
I downloaded SX3 from the website. It installs but wont open cos I dont have the right licence!!
The right licence??? Come on…why do we still have to have a licence to run such an old piece of software just to convert one or two old files?
Surely all these years later Steinberg would have made enough profit to make SX3 available without needing a licence, if only as a gesture to Steinberg users.???
I understand that Im probably in a minority here as I cant imagine many people still want to convert old files…but doesnt that make it even more relevant ?

Anyway, just thought Id put it out there for someone in Steinberg to respond to :-)))))

Martin already told you that you need to download Cubase SL 3 as that fits probably the license you have.
Here is the link:

Why do you chose to instead create this topic?
And to reply to the issue of this topic: All Cubase versions have a copy protection scheme inside. It would take significant resources to create a version of SX3 without it. Maybe if you offer Steinberg some 20,000EUR or so they will consider it.

No. It makes your case rather irrelevant.
