Does it make sense to buy HALion Symphonic Orchestra Full version, or is it what we have in Dorico Pro anyway?

That’s right, Dorico Pro users have the full HSO already.

They do? I thought it’s Halion Sonic.
My understanding is that Halion Symphonic Orchestra is a VST instrument that can be played with either Halion Sonic (which is bundled with Dorico) or full Halion 7 (which is not bundled with Dorico).
Kind of like how Kontakt has the Kontakt Player (free) and the full Kontakt (not free).
So, Dorico Pro users get the full version of the HSO instrument, sonic version of Halion. HSO itself only comes in one size, full.
HALion/HALion Sonic/HALion Sonic SE is primarily a sample player/editor, though it does come with some samples. HALion Symphonic Orchestra is (nowadays) a sample set that can be played by any of the flavours of HALion. There was once a separate HSO VST that only played the HSO samples, but that’s obsolete.
