Steinberg UR44

vst live crashes with the ur44 all the time.
i start the song, then stop, then freeze
i change the output channel, then freeze
i bought a new laptop, the program also loads very quikly with very many plugins.
I’ll try tomorrow with another audio interface
report then again

pls also try again with the upcoming version coming within the next days.

update:
i connected the Behringer uphoria 204hd yesterday.
The programme did not crash. I only loaded one song with 2 vst and 6 audio tracks. The cpu consumption was under 10% and the latency was 512, but there were still dropouts and clicks.
Then I loaded a cubase song with 10 vst and 20 audio tracks. The audio interface did not cause any problems.
I will continue to test and report.

The Steinberg UR44 still crashes at stop. Outputs 1 + 2 seem to work alone. But if I also use output 3 (click), then freeze at stop.
It’s impossible to change the output during playback. crash

Cannot reproduce with 2 other interfaces with 4 or more outputs.
Maybe try to re-install UR44 driver.
Also, version 1.0.40 features a high priority setting in preferences, try to toggle this. If you still face such problems pls let us know your system details, thanks.

update: VST L 1.41
high priority setting set to off
Steinberg UR44 seems to work now

That implies that it crashes with high priority on?

yes, it does.

I also use a UR44 and here Version 1.1.41.654 works fine.
I tested Start/Stop with several Songs - everything works fine here!
Windows 11 Pro (22H2), Lenovo Laptop 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz

That is very weird indeed. But we can’t reproduce it yet.
The process priority is balancing VST Live against other processes (say: applications and services). You may try to make sure to not have any other applications running and see if that helps. Other than that, usually leaving High Priority off is a valid solution unless your system is pushed to its boundaries.
