Steinberg's 40th Anniversary Sale

I see. Thanks!

Could not be happier of my purchase of Absolute 6. I am inspired to create songs again.

Now 14 days of ignoring :-1:

P.S.
I can’t say that the support at Steinberg is a disaster. Another problem I had asked about was solved quickly and superbly. Maybe it depends on the type of request and which team is dealing with it.

I’m also offering my coupons for anyone that may need them.

  • Dorico Pro
  • Wavelab Pro
  • Absolute 6

Hit me with a message if you’re interested.

I’m seriously tempted by the Absolute 6 offer. I already own Halion 7, Groove Agent and a couple of the instruments, e.g. Electric Bass, but reckon I could sell the licenses to these.

Can anyone see any downsides to this?

That you can’t update each instrument as they come out, but you have to instead wait for the Absolute x to x+1 update? I don’t think there’s any other downside that comes to mind.

Thanks, I’d not considered that - I’ll have a think before committing.

I sent a request about the sale almost one month ago and NO RESPONSE. So, I will try here. (BTW, 30 year Cubase and Wavelab user with almost all the updates)

@Matthias_Quellmann I bought Halion 7 one month before the big ‘customer appreciation’ sale for Absolute and I paid $125. Absolute is only $150. Is there an upgrade option for a 30 year customer who just bought Halion 7 four weeks before the sale?

Hi! I need a Cubase Pro 13 voucher. Could I have that?

It’s already been stated both here and in the offer itself, the deal is for NEW licenses. This isn’t an ‘upgrade’ sale.

@ Monotremata Thanks for the info. It’s more a matter of buying less than a month before and then being offered a way better deal. If it was a few months before, I wouldn’t be upset. And they should have a sale on the upgrade as well for us LONG time users.

I guess I can buy Absolute and sell my Halion 7 license?

I got that code from @Kristijan .
Thank you guys again!

Hi guys,

I have Cubase 13 Pro, yet , there is a voucher for Cubase 13 Pro Loyalty Rebate.

A little confused…why am I getting this rebate?

You are not alone.

Vouchers
Doric Pro 5 2x
(I already own)
Absolute 6 2x
Cubase Pro 13 1x
Which I now bought 70% off
WaveLab Pro

When I asked Steinberg about this, there has been nothing but silence for 2 weeks now. Although I did exactly what Mr. Quellmann wrote. An e-mail to the support.
I almost have to show respect for how consistently my requests are ignored. But never mind.
My theory is, and some are already implementing it, that you can give them away. But whether that will work, I have no idea. The information on this, even in this forum, is more confusing than useful.

I agree, this is very confusing.

The vouchers for the rest of the stuff were accurate and represented software I didn’t have (massively grateful for Dorico 5!!!) and upgrade anything that I owned, but the loyalty rebate for C13 pro really confused me.

Bizzare

If you have another eligible program you get vouchers for C13. They obviously aren’t cross checking that you already have it for some reason.

And yes, you cannot use them with your account but anyone who doesn’t already own C13 can use them, that’s been officially answered here.

Hey,

Thanks for letting me know :+1:

Can I give the voucher to someone else?

Just copy and forward or is this voucher only to my license?

Yes…just give them the code.

Hey guys, I have a 70% off Cubase 13 Pro loyalty voucher if anyone would like to have it.

Cheers.

There is something to watch out for with Absolute though… When the individual apps get updates, you can’t update them until Absolute gets updated. When Halion 7 came out last year, the Absolute owners had to wait a bit for Absolute 6 to get released, while the rest of us standalone owners were already updated and learning the new features. I actually thought about getting it myself, its cheaper for the Absolute discount than a standalone Groove Agent license…

But I have a feeling the ‘old’ Groove Agent 5 is due for a new release too, and I don’t want to buy Absolute, and have Groove Agent 6 come out in a month and then have to wait another month or two for Absolute to get updated to upgrade (and then pay more because its an Absolute upgrade)… Plus I just got another old Akai, and Groove Agent at the moment is on a long vacation from doing drum tracks…
