Stems all play at same time

Hi there,

I recently exported all my stems out of a project and when I re-imported them into Cubase to check them, they all played at the same time in one big jumbled mess.

Just to clarify when I say “same time” I mean a guitar part that isn’t supposed to play till around 0:52 plays at 0:00 along with the drum and vocal parts that start at 0, etc.

I exported the stems by solo’ing each individual track and exporting them into a folder individually (seeing as “Elements” lacks the batch export feature)

Is this a time code issue? The time code for the original project file is set at 00:00:00:00, and I set the same code for the empty project I was using to check the stems.

Have included images of both project files.

Running Cubase Elements 9 on a Mac (late 2012)

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated :slight_smile:

Exporting the stems in this way doesn’t include any data as to where in the arrangement they start, they’re just wav files.

If you want them to line up you need to make sure the range for each export covers the whole song.
