Very new to Cubase (just got it yesterday) and very excited about the possibilities. Sure to have questions as I dig deeper.
For now, I’m curious if I have just overlooked something. Is there a Step Time Entry from a midi keyboard for the Score Notation?
Yes there is. You should find an icon on the right side that turns on and off step entry in the score editor. I’m not by my computer so I can’t explain it in detail

The icon looks like a stairway, got it working this morning after I finally figured out how to set up multi instruments, now need to work on expression mapping and tying in networked computers and I might finally have the setup I’ve been trying to put together for years!!! Very exciting.
