OK, simple thing, if I have a midi track playing back in Cubase 7.5.20 and I change my midi output to a diff external hardware unit I get sticking midi from the first unit. I would like to be able to audition any module without having to use the panic button on the MOTU MTPAV every time. Reset on Stop in Prefs doesn’t help since Im not stopping. My guess is Cubase isn’t sending a note off message when switching outputs to interrupt the note on if you will. Any ideas?
I have the same problem. I resurrected my JL Cooper MSB Plus and connected it to my MOTU MIDI Express so that I would have a Panic button in the event of a stuck note. It works for my situation but it would be nice to have a Cubase solution. And, as a side note, it may not be limited to Cubase. I have had the stuck note situation while using LPX! CS.
Ive checked StudioOnePro and it DOES NOT stick here. Ill check LogicX tomorrow and report back.
My guess is the CRAPPY MOTU drivers but who knows at this point
