Still having problems with Download Assistant

I’m trying to launch SB Download Assistant, and it still doesn’t work…
After several attempts, in which two windows appear, I downloaded the installer again, but it doesn’t launch.

I rebooted and launched SDA again, with the same problems. Then, after several failed attempts, it starts, automatically updates MediaBay, miraculously opens… and then closes on its own.

I launch it again, and it doesn’t work…

I hope Steinberg fixes the problems. The latest downloadable version is from November 2025.

I can’t update Cubase and Dorico because SDA won’t start!

I find this very very very frustrating!

Thanks for your reply. I know it’s possible and I’ve already done so, but I find it really strange that after having already reported problems with SDA, we’re still in this situation.

I’m not a Mac guy so I can’t really offer advice on your problem, unfortunately. SDA is working fine here on my Windows machines.

Also, the latest version of the SDA is dated June 4th, 2026. You may want to check that if you’re seeing one from November last year.

I’m a Windows 11 user…
The SDA download page shows version 1.39.3 from November 4, 2025.

Could you please tell me where you downloaded the June 4, 2026, version?

My mistake. File Explorer no longer shows the original creation date so that was my download date. Sorry.
