Strange Behavior: How to Keep Volume of a Track at 0

Hi,

I have a Midi track with no input and output to the channel 16 of an input port a Yamaha PSR-A3000 which it sends message to another part of its sound module triggering other events, the track contains MIDI events mainly, note. I set the volume to 0 and had automation set to 0 and also OFF. I even moved the volume of ch 16 using the Mixer in the sound module all the way to 0 .I was wondering why this is happening. However, Cubase from time to time it triggers the sound of channel 16 and I have to go put it to zero again. The channel Read is ON.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Make sure there is no MIDI CC7 (Volume) in the track.

hmm, can I remove it using Track Logical Editor?

Hi,

You can use MIDI Logical Editor:
Type Is | Equal | Controller | And
Value 1 (MIDI Controller No.) | Equal | 7

No Action

Function: Delete

Select the MIDI Event(s) in the Project window, and call this MIDI Logical Editor preset.
