Strange behavior moving "playing techniques"

It is a long time since I saw something like this in Dorico. (now using Dorico 3)
I use a created Playing Technique and try to put it into the right spot below the clef. But the arrows only move one way no matter which arrow key I use, and using the mouse the object jumps at its own will …

I noticed that there were quite a bit of space in front of the pick-up note. That was because, in the imported XML file, there were hidden pauses. Removing those pauses and creating a proper pick-up bar, solved the problem. But is still strange behaviour in my opinion.
