I’m having a strange problem with the cues. I need to compose for an octobass flute, which isn’t included in the instrument library. So I used a contrabass flute to write my score, but as soon as I wanted to be more precise, I wanted to change the name of the contrabass flute to octobass flute. To do this, I made a copy of the contrabass flute in the library to create the new flute and renamed it ‘octobass’.
Back in my score, I want to change the instrument originally used to the one I’ve just created in the configuration menu, and if everything works correctly in both the score and the flute part, all my cues end up with no note heads. I can’t seem to find a way to fix this.
Ay help would be kind.

Can you cut down the project to just a few affected bars and attach it here? It’s always quicker to diagnose this kind of problem from an actual project rather than from a screenshot.

It seems to work here:
I recreated a Flute 2 part layout since all the parts were removed in your cutdown file. But the Otb cue was already there, and seems to show up normally, or am I wrong…?

I copied the score into a new section and exported it to a new file.
The problem seems to stem from the new instrument I created (previously, it was a contrabass flute and everything was working fine). I simply copied the contrabass flute to create an octobass flute, and that’s when the problem arose.
So when you open this project, it looks like your screenshot, i.e. the cue has no noteheads?

Something strange happened: when I copied my original file, I noticed that my problem had disappeared. The part for the octobass flute was correct in the copy, whereas the note heads were missing in the original.
I renamed my file and recovered everything I needed.
