Hi guys, when I set an audio track and record through my mic, the initial time I use the track is fine and there is no latency. But, if I go to use the same track to record again there is always a short maybe half second amount of latency in my headphones. I have tried different interfaces and it does not help. Anyone have a clue or solve for this, any help is really appreciated

It could be due to plugins that cause latency.
Which plugins do you use?
You could also try to temporarily disable latency heavy plugins with Constrain Delay Compensation. It is a tiny icon at the bottom left of your project window. This way you can rule out plugins if the problem persists.
Hi mate, this happens when even no plugins are in use. Everytime I go to use a track that something has already been recorded on, this latency happens 100% of the time, do you think maybe a reinstall could solve my issue?

my guess was merely a shot into the dark. We definetly need more info to help you:
System, OS, audiointerface, setup of your inputs & outputs, control room(?), screenshot of your vocal track and its routing.
A new install is most probably not necessary!
