Forgive my ignorance in the playback mode of Dorico. I use Logic for all my realizations, Dorico is strictly for sheet music, so I am quite amateur in the playback aspects of Dorico. However, I thought it’s time I find my way around the play tab.
I have a little piano thing I wrote today, and I wanted to add some human feel to it. So I started drawing in some tempo fluctuations. It sounded nice. When I switched back to write mode, this is what it looked like:
This many signposts (which you can turn off via the View menu) is rare and reflects a very granular change in tempo, but otherwise it is normal. As mentioned earlier, one can use the View > Signposts option to turn off tempo signposts to make other editing easier to see.
oh thanks so much Derek. I didn’t realize these were sign posts. Good to know. Yes, it was some very granular tempo drawing I did in the key editor.
