Strange XML import from Finale

I imported a Finale file which had a triplet 1/8 with 1-1/8 and 4-1/16s. This is what I got. Now I can’t figure out how to get it back to the original without completely deleting it and re-entering it. There were some places where the same rhythm came in fine and several places where I got this.

This kind of issue with tuplets in MusicXML import isn’t uncommon. There’s something about the way that 16th note tuplets in particular are encoded in Finale that can trip Dorico up. Try activating Insert mode (shortcut I) and then delete each of the “inner” tuplet brackets, then change the duration of the remaining notes to be regular 16ths.

That method works. Another way: un-dot the notes first (leaving rests in between), then select and delete the triplets. That way you don’t need insert mode, and it leaves the notes in place the whole time.
