Stream Deck not starting with Dorico

Until a few months ago, Stream Deck, and the excellent Notation Express XL, always lit up when I turned on the MacPro and remained active while the Mac was on.

Now, it will only come on by opening the Stream Deck app. To be honest, this may have followed either a Dorico or Stream Deck update – most likely the latter. I believe I’ve checked all relevant settings and would be grateful to hear if this rings bells with anyone.

Thanks.

I don’t have any help for you, but yes, it rings a bell. I have experienced this as well where the helper app doesn’t start at login even though it is set up correctly in the preferences. It happens maybe 10% of the time I start my computer. I haven’t found a cause or remedy (short of using a third party startup item manager). It’s not a Dorico problem as I use the Stream Deck for a bunch of other apps as well and they are then all affected.
I’ll post back if I have any info. Hopefully you’ll do the same!

ETA: macOS 14.6.1, Stream Deck latest (6.8.1), Dorico latest.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. As I don’t use Stream Deck elsewhere, that at least confirms that the issue is with SD or its associated software. I’ll see whether I can get any support from Elgato. I’ll let you know if I get anywhere!

If you don’t need it in other programs, do you have your Dorico profile set as the Default profile?

I only use my SD with Dorico with my Dorico Profile as the Default and haven’t had the issues you are reporting. (Mac Studio, 15.4.1, latest SD and Dorico)
