Stretch empty bar to text length

I’d like to extend bar 134 up to the length of the system text, both in the full score and in the parts. What’s the best way to do it?

I created that bar with shift-B “54q”. To hide the bar rests I switched on “ends voice” on the last rest of the previous bar. But at that moment the bar shrunk to the dimensions on the image…

Is this a screenshot from Galley view? If so, spacing will probably be a bit better in Page view, though I don’t think the bar will be wide enough for the whole text. It’s my understanding that Dorico cannot do this automatically (yet), there have been requests about this in the past (e.g. FR: Have texts define the minimum width of a bar).

I’ve resorted to manually nudging in Engrave mode using the note spacing tool, but others may have better methods.

Also, don’t use remove rest, set color opacity (alpha channel) to zero on the rest instead.

To add to @jesele 's post, if you hide the rests, then Dorico has nothing to apply spacing to – which is why the measure “collapses”.

Yes, I forgot to mention that it’s Galley view, but in Page view the bar is actually of similar size in my case.

I end up setting opacity to zero as @jesele suggested. It’s faster but seems hacky to me (semantics are not exactly the same in hiding an element vs adjusting opacity imo).

It would be great if Dorico would consider text as the bar content in spacing calculations.
