"Stretched" Guitar Chord

Can anyone tell me how I can notate the last Db chord in the two acoustic guitar parts so the chord is “strummed” instead of putting a whole note there which causes all the notes of the chord to sound simultaneously? Using Dorico Pro with NotePerformer. I am not a guitarist and don’t know how to notate this so the notes sound “almost” together but the sound is a slower strumming.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Use an arpeggio sign…
arp

(Shift-o arp)

Janus,

Awesome!! That’s the sound I wanted. Thank you as usual. I did not know that marking would actually playback as such.

As a further refinement, you can use the Properties panel to have the arpeggio end on the beat (starts slightly before the beat), or start on the beat. Select the arp symbol, then choose your option in the Properties. If you have other instruments, choosing the end on the beat option helps the audio alignment. It’s nice to have these choices!

rpearl,

This is excellent information. I am going to experiment with your instructions today and will see which option seems to work best for this piece.

Thank you so much for the follow-up.
