I was curious if anyone knew where to purchase string instrument fingering graphic fonts to use in Dorico? I found instrumenting fingering graphic fonts for woodwind and brass instruments, but was curious if there are any out there for string instruments? Thanks.
What string instruments? There are a billion types.
Trying to learn here : I’m curious how that would look like, could you show an image what that is?
For wood winds or brass that’s an image which buttons, valves or holes would be pressed, for strings my thought was just a text font to show which finger of left or right hand would be used. Or with the combination of the string, so you get tablature.
Considering the absence of frets on a violin and all the combinations of fingers, strings, and (hand) positions, string fingering diagrams, if they exist, would be a big ask.
I developed my FingStrings Font font a year ago. It’s a font that draws string fingerings for violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Below the user guide:

I was working on creating an app about my FingStrings and my NorKeys font. It was a lot of work, and I even forgot to release the font on my website and on NotationCentral.
