Studio One-style solo function in Cubase 14?

I recently switched from Studio One to Cubase 14, and I’m struggling with how the solo function works. In Studio One, if I wanted to hear just one vocal track, I could solo it and still hear it with mix bus inserts. Similarly, if I wanted to solo a reverb/delay track, I’d hear only that effect along with the mix bus inserts.

In Cubase, however, when I solo a vocal track, all related FX tracks get soloed too. On the other hand, if I use the Listen button, I can hear only the track I want, but it doesn’t include the mix bus inserts.

Is there a way to make the solo function behave more like Studio One, where I can isolate a track (or an effect) while still hearing the mix bus processing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi and welcome to the forum,

I’m not aware of preferences to do this.
