Inspired by the benefit of custom key commands in Dorico, I’ve started diving into a similar function in InDesign. I really like how it handles key commands.
In the screenshot below, there are some really useful functions that would be nice to add to key commands. Different key command sets can be named, recalled, and managed. “Show Set” opens the key command text document.
I can’t see that there would be a benefit to managing different key command libraries, except perhaps when collaborating or training. But the overall approach to management works really well.
I’m sure the team is working in these areas, but I thought I’d share some ideas that I like.
