I do get that part and use it a lot, but the hiding of the dynamic itself eludes me.
Take a look at Marc’s screenshot, though he has his Dorico in his native French. Toggle the third option and uncheck the box if it is checked (though probably just enabling that property will uncheck the box; I can’t recall it by heart). It should hide the intensity marking itself, leaving only prefixes or suffixes.
